Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. In order to support the mission, the Property Maintenance/Facilities Worker will work on a Full-Time basis providing property and facilities maintenance throughout our network of facilities in Syracuse, NY.

 

 

Pay rate: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour.

 

In addition to Helio Health’s comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for a Sign-On Incentive of up to $1,500!

Responsibilities

  • Main responsibilities: snow removal, grass/trash removal.
  • Responsible for upkeep of Helio buildings and grounds.                
  • Performs maintenance and general repairs necessary to provide a safe and functional environment.
  • Responds to emergency situations when requested by Supervisor of Facilities and/or Director of Facilities.
  • Communicates with Supervisor of Facilities Maintenance regarding any life/safety issues along with any situations which could pose a danger to clients/staff, or agency liability.
  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs.
  • Takes direction from Supervisor of Facilities and/or Director of Facilities and keeps him/her informed regarding progress of work.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor of Facilities Maintenance or Director of Facilities.

Qualifications

  • High School or G.E.D. required.
  • 2+ years of building maintenance experience preferably in a commercial or healthcare setting preferred
  • Must have valid NYS Driver’s License and be able to drive agency vehicle.
  • Ability to perform physical labor and to use a computer.
  • Skilled in using common power and hand tools. 
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions and environment containing strong odors, dust and hazards.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate well verbally, in writing.
  • Knowledge of OSHA & SDS requirements.

Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate's education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
