Overview

Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. To support the mission of Helio Health, we are looking to add a dedicated Psychiatrist to provide medical and psychiatric evaluations as appropriate for the patients of Helio Health's Outpatient Program. This particular Psychiatrist opening will work an 8 Hours Per Week.

 

Advise: This is a contracted position.

 

Pay: $250/per hour

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care of medical examination, psychiatric consultation, implementation of medical orders, and treatment of psychiatric conditions.
  • Serve on special review and quality assurance committees as assigned.
  • Provide and document medical and psychiatric consultation, assessment, examination, and treatment planning, referral and review consistent with agency policy and requirements.
  • Review and sign all treatment plans and treatment plan reviews for Mental Health Services.
  • Other related assignments and duties consistent with training and experience.
  • Supervise other health professionals as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Must be a physician licensed and currently registered by the NYS Education Department.
  • Must be Board Certified, or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
  • At least one year of experience or comparable training in the treatment of substance use disorders. 
  • Suboxone certified, or eligible to become Suboxone certified. 
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Have prescriptive authority and a DEA number.

Salary and hourly compensation ranges are provided in accordance with NYS law and are based on Helio Health's good faith belief of what is accurate at the time of posting. Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate's education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
